How Mainline Cameras Simplify Software Maintenance
All VC MIPI® Blueline Camera Modules are supported by drivers that are part of the Linux kernel, already available in the mainline sources, or can be quickly and easily installed as kernel patches.
The drivers are automatically ported for future kernel versions and maintained by the Linux community. For companies using VC MIPI® Blueline Camera Modules, this eliminates the effort of driver adaptation when updating their BSPs.
This simplifies software lifecycle management, saving time and costs.
